Portland Mini Maker Faire

Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these "makers" to show hobbies, experiments, projects.

They call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth - a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness.

Alena Imamura, UX designer from HIL gave a talk on UX prototyping for wearables. Emphasis was on the process and how to accelerate the research and design process by focusing on a process that is streamlined and repeatable. Wearables are about a continuum of experiences that are personal as they relate to the body and the activities that you are doing while being on the move.
